Leap Years

A friend asked me the other day why we have to have an extra day in Leap Years, and why does it have to be in February ? "Why can't we have it in June when the weather's warmer ?" Think about it.

  1. Where I live, Houston, Texas, USA, I am glad the extra day is in February. June is indeed warmer - up above 100 degrees (37 or 38 Celcius), with humidity to match. I can do without and extra day of that, thank you.
