Models on the Runway

Models on the Runway - sounds dangerous ! Can someone tell me why when displaying the latest fashions the models have to walk in such a silly fashion ? It looks ridiculous ! Have you ever seen any normal person walk like they do ? It doesn't make the clothes look any better, so perhaps they are asked to walk like they do so as to distract the attention of the buyers. It is all so stupid ! I haven't noticed the male models doing it !!

Really, California !

There is currently an ad running on commercial TV here in the UK, advertising the wonders of California in an attempt to attract visitors. A young lady appears in the ad, and states that there are "many misconceptions about California, most of which aren't true". Do I need to write more ? Think about it ! I'd like to know how a misconception can be true !
I presume the state has a large publicity department, so how on earth can they let such a howler get into an ad, even if it was produced by an agency ? Disgraceful !
